Tencel Care Instructions
If Tencel bedding shows wrinkles after washing and drying, please do not worry. This is normal situation:
-
Wrinkles will disappear within 1 to 3 days after being laid flat on the bed.
-
You can make your bed with the sheets while they are still about 25% wet. This allows them to finish drying on the bed and lessen wrinkles.
It’s no secret that TENCEL™ lyocell sheets are incredible — they’re silky soft, ultra breathable, super gentle on the skin and extremely friendly to the environment. However, you may wonder — how do I wash my TENCEL™ sheets? Don’t worry, we will guide you through every step.
WASHING
- Pre-wash your TENCEL™ sheets before first use.
- Maximum washing temperature 30℃.
- Do not dry clean.
- Separate from other items in the wash, especially those containing polyester which tend to create pilling. Also, avoid items with heavy zippers which can abrade and damage the fabric.
- Do not overload the washing machine. Overloading can cause fibers to break down from excessive abrasion and agitation.
DETERGENT
- Use mild liquid detergent, preferably non-alkaline, without added bleach or whiteners.
- Do not pour detergent directly on sheets. Instead, add it to the water as the wash tub fills or dilute with water, then add sheets.
- Unless linens are very soiled, only use half the recommended amount of detergent.
DRYING
- When possible, let your TENCEL™ sheets hang dry naturally in order to help preserve the fibers and color.
- However, if you don’t have the option of naturally line drying your sheets, you can use a dryer – be sure to choose the low heat and low tumble option.
- Never use a high heat setting or over dry, this will weaken the fibers, cause shrinkage and shorten the life of your sheets.
- To decrease chances of wrinkles, immediately take the sheets out and make the bed with it. The most optimal strategy is to take your sheets out while they’re still about 25% wet and make your bed with the sheets. This allows them to finish drying on the bed and lessen wrinkles.
- Smoothen and fold or press with an iron if desired. When ironing, the temperature of the bottom plate should not exceed 110℃.
STORAGE
- Please store your sheets in a cool and dry place, away from sunlight.
